Allya Taylor Joy was born on April 16 1997 in Miami Florida. Dennis Alan Taylor was a former Banker. Jennifer Marina Joy worked as a psychotherapist. Her father is an native of Argentina with Scottish and English descent is also her mother. Her mother is Spanish and has English roots. Taylor-Joy is the youngest of five children, four come from her father's previous marriage. The family was initially located in Buenos Aires, but moved to Victoria at the age of 6 when Taylor-Joy was born. Taylor Joy claims that her move to England was a very difficult experience. She refused to learn English and was hoping to return to Argentina. Hill House had to be her new school following the changed schools from Northlands. Then she attended Queen's Gate School where she studied ballet and acted in school plays. At the age of 16, she quit college and began pursuing a career as an actress full-time. From a young age Taylor-Joy had a dream to work as an actress. her dream came true when she was given a modeling job by Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
