Anita Sarkeesian is a Canadian-American feminist media critic and public speaker. She is the co-founder of Feminist Frequency the website which includes videos and commentary on portrayals of women in popular cultural. Anita Sarkeesian has been a blogger, journalist and award-winning feminist for over 10 years. Feminist Frequency, a website to educate about female roles in the world of pop culture, is operated by Sarkeesian. Committed to deconstructing the stereotypes about women and pop culture she also works to raise issues related specifically to the harassment of women and other marginalized classes of individuals in the internet area.
