Kari Sam Wuhrer, born April 28, 1968 is an American singer and actress. Wuhrer began her career as a teenager. She is recognized for her role as Maggie Beckett in the television series Sliders and as the Sheriff Samantha Parker in the horror comedy film Eight Legged Freaks.Wuhrer was born in Brookfield, Connecticut, the daughter of Karin (nee Noble), a payroll accountant, and German American Andrew Wuhrer, who was a police officer as well as a auto salesman. There are three of her siblings. As a teenager was a nightclub singer and would sneak out of the house to sing. When she began studying acting at Wooster School at the age of 13, she pursued a degree in drama at the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts at Marymount Manhattan College and Columbia University. Additionally, she studied in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts under renowned Uta Hagen. Her birthplace was in Brookfield on the 28th of April on the 28th of April, 1967. Her father is both an German American policeman and a salesperson for autos. Kari's siblings are three. As a teenager, she performed in nightclubs in secret, escaping to take a break. When she was 13 years older, Kari studied acting at the Wooster School, then began her studies in drama at the Tisch School of the Arts located at New York University, Columbia University, Marymount Manhattan College and The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art with renowned teacher Uta Hagen. Kari started acting when she was a teenager, and her first TV appearance was on 1987 MTV's Remote Control.
