Charissa Thompson
Thompson was fired by FOX Sports in 2009 and started hosting on behalf of Versus Sports as well as Yahoo Sports. Thompson was the anchor of Versusthe ' NHL studio coverage, and produced web-based video on the well-known Yahoo platform. This included leading the site's participation at major events including that of 2010 Winter Olympics. FIFA World Cup. Super Bowl XLV. and BCS National Championship. Success in both arenas led to her joining ESPN in the summer of 2011 when she was chosen as host for the new show for the afternoon "Numbers Never Lie." In the following year, she was promoted towards "SportsNation," she enjoyed an extended run of great success. She left the network to launch FS1 the following month in Los Angeles, May 2013 returning in Los Angeles. As a sports lover at heart, Thompson has also shown an impressive range of skills to cross over into the entertainment realm of television. In June 2014, following several part-time jobs Thompson was hired as a permanent co-host of the Hollywood nightly newsmagazine "Extra". In that capacity the magazine filmed its episodes at Universal Studios while also staffing the awards show and other celeb gatherings on a regular basis.
