Anita Ekberg
Anita Ekberg is a Swedish actress. The actress was featured in a number of movies, both European and American. Her most renowned role was in the film drama comedy "La Dolce Vita". It won an Oscar and a Golden Palm at the Cannes Film Festival in 1960, and was also critically and commercially successful. Born in Skane, Sweden, she did a stint as a model before beginning her acting career. She was eventually crowned the Miss Sweden contest. After that, she was transferred to the US, and began appearing in various films as minor characters. She played the Venusian Guard in the movie 'Abbott and Costello's Trip to Mars.' This was her first credit role. Following her appearance in the film 'Blood Alley her film, she took home the Golden Globe Award for 'Most promising young actor.' Her career included many films that included the war drama film War and Peace, the Western 'Valerie,' the British crime thriller The Man Inside and the film of the same name, The Dam on the Yellow River.' Her death occurred in the year 2015 when she was 83 years old.
